1. Privacy First Philosophy
IngageAI was built with a privacy-first mindset. Unlike traditional AI tools that scrape and store your data to train models, IngageAI processes information in real-time and discards it immediately after generating your reply.
2. No Data Collection
We do not store, log, or share your LinkedIn post data, personal messages, or contact information. All analysis happens within the context of the active session and is never saved to our servers.
3. Local Storage
Certain preferences and "engagement history" items are stored locally in your browser's dedicated storage. This data never leaves your machine unless you explicitly choose to export or sync it (optional feature coming soon).
4. Third-Party AI Models
To provide high-quality reasoning, we use Groq (Llama 3.3) and Google Gemini API. When you request a reply generation, the relevant text context is sent to these providers over an encrypted connection. These providers do not use your data to train their models in the configuration we use.
5. Chrome Extension Permissions
Our extension requires permission to "Read and change your data on linkedin.com". This is strictly used to:
- Detect comments on the page.
- Identify the main post content for context.
- Insert the generated reply into the LinkedIn text area.
We do not "change" your data in any other way, and we never perform background actions without your interaction.
